"Wanna-Be a Dino Finder" includes an easy-to-use installation program. place the CD in your CD-ROM drive and double click on the "Install Dino Finder" icon that appears in a window on your desktop. The installation program will guide you through the process. After the game has been installed, it can be run by clicking either the "Wanna-Be a Dino Finder" icon on the Desktop or in the window on the CD with the installer.
1. The program will not operate if your system does not have QuickTime 2.1 or greater installed on your machine. QuickTime 2.5 is provided in the Quicktime folder on the CD.
2. On some Macintosh computers, the QuickTime Object Support Library Extension must be installed in order for the program to run. This extension has been provided in the "Extensions" folder on the CD. To install this extension, drag it to your System Folder and then restart your computer.
3. Sound Manager 3.1 or greater must be installed on your machine. Sound Manager 3.2 is included in the QuickTime 2.5 package provided on the CD.
4. Some Macintosh computers may experience inverted color cursors. This is normal.
5. Some systems may exhibit poor playback performance. The following are suggested settings for the memory control panel: From the Apple menu, open Control Panel; Select Memory and set to the following settings:
Disk Cache: 128K
Modern Memory Manager: On
Virtual Memory: On
RAM Disk: Off
11. If your system has more than 8 MB of RAM, you can improve performance by increasing the memory partition allocated to the mPlayerFAT file located in the Cloud folder.
12. Some printers may require updated drivers for optimal performance. Check with the manufacturer's web site for the most up-to-date information.
13. The messages "Warning: You may be running this game on the wrong version of the mTropolis Player or the player may be in the wrong place" or "Warning: The mTropolis player currently being used may not be compatible with this game" mean that the application could not load the correct player software to run it. This is caused by having another application which uses the same kind of player. Open the "Cloud 9" folder (or the folder into which the application was installed) containing the file called mPlayerFAT. Drag the application alias on the desktop or the CD onto the mPlayerFAT player icon.
